What To Put In It

  1. 01 · What it is, and roughly when

A summit, a launch, an activation, or a year of marketing with no single event in it. An approximate month is more useful than a fixed date you are not sure of yet.

  2. 02 · Who it is for

Delegates, brokers, buyers, investors, or an audience you are trying to reach for the first time. This is the line that decides most of the rest.

  3. 03 · Numbers, if you have them

Headcount and a budget range. A range is enough — it is what tells us whether to propose Essential, Signature or Bespoke rather than guessing and quoting three times.

  4. 04 · What is already decided

A venue held, brand guidelines that exist, an agency already on retainer, a date that cannot move. Constraints shorten the conversation rather than complicating it.

  5. 05 · What you are not sure about

Say so. “Not sure yet” is one of the engagement types on the form on purpose — a brief still being formed is a normal first message, not a reason to wait.
